i'm so glad that I don't have to rely on Southwestern Bell for my internet access anymore. They completely and totally suck. I can understand the reasoning behind cutting off someone's phone service, especially when a customer is deliquent on paying their bill. But shit, I haven't missed a payment on my telephone bill in more then 2 years, so just because I was a day late this month getting my payment to them, they shut off my service. I'll be writing a very strongly worded letter of complaint to the Southwestern Bell home offices. I guess it could be worse, I could've been relying on Excite@home for my internet service. Now there was a debacle that didn't have to happen. I don't think I'll touch this subject with a 10-foot pole. Let me just say this though, my condolences go out to those of you who surf the web who relied on the Excite@home network for your internet access. I'm sure that the past couple weeks have been hard on you.

What else to talk about....hmmm....I could state my thoughts on the Segway, but I think that there's been enough talk throughout the web and newsmedia about it. I do think that it's great idea, but I don't think it's going to catch on until the cost of it comes down. I know there's no way in hell i'm going to be able to afford $3000 for a transportation system, especially when I could on a used car for that price, or even less. There's my $.02, for what it's worth.

god i hate the phone company....you pay your damn bill one day late, and they still disconnect your damn service....now i've got to find a way to get ahold of the phone company and get my service reconnected...fsckin Southwestern Bell, they can never do anything right. I couldn't get DSL from them because my apartment is "too far from the service center", which i consider bullshit, due to the fact that I live in the middle of one of the largest suburbs in my area! I'm so tired of fsckin Southwestern Bell, and I would change providers, if it wasn't for the fact that they're the only fcskng local service provider in my area! I'm so pissed off right now about telephones, that I'm ready to destroy the Southwestern Bell hubs around my house. Down with Southwestern Bell!

On a happier note, I've finally started playing around with Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, so I'll be updating my website soon, using the wonderous tools that are Dreamweaver 4...hehe Dreamweaver's a great tool for creating websites, at least from what i've discovered from my playing around with it. It makes creating stylesheets so much easier, and there's wizards for creating everything about your website. If anyone has the chance to get the trial version of Dreamweaver, and you create webpages, I would encourage you to at least download it and try it out.

I've decided that Banana Republic credit card holders are all assholes. If you shop at Banana Republic and visit my site, please don't take this the wrong way. I've only had about 15 people call today regarding their accounts, and they have all been assholes towards me. I don't know if it's just because of the holiday season, or if it's that silver spoon that's shoved so far up their respective asses that it's beginning to chafe. I honestly have decided that the holiday season is the worst time of the year to work as a customer service rep, just simply from the fact that everyone's in such a bad mood. I don't know if it's just because they have to go out and fight with all of the other customers doing their holiday shopping, or it's the weather, or just because someone sent out an email saying "let's be an asshole to everyone we come in contact with, just because it's the holidays". I seriously am considering doing all of my holiday shopping well before the holiday season ever comes around, just for the simple fact then I wouldn't have to go to the malls or anything trying to buy presents for my family and friends. I even hate going grocery shopping right now, just because of all the people that are at the stores. The 24-hour Wal-mart supercenter that's in my area has been getting a lot of my money during this season, just for the simple fact that I can go shopping later at night. ^_^

I got Rush Hour 2 last night on DVD, and I have to say is that it's one of the funniest new movies I've seen in a year or so. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan seem to have a great chemistry on the screen and they seem to enjoy working together. I, personally, love the outtakes at the end of the movie and in the extras on the DVD, those are one of the reasons that I love Jackie Chan movies. ^_^ Outtakes are fing win! Now I'm just waiting for The Fast and The Furious to come out on DVD on January 2, 2002. Gotta have the ricer action! ^_^

Well, that's all the ranting I can do, at least for right now.

Damn people...I swear to god, if it wasn't for the fact that I need my job right now because they're paying for me to go back to school, I think I might find all of the credit card holders that we service in my area, and kill all of them. I'm sick of the holiday shopping season, simply from the standpoint that everyone who calls in feels like they can be assholes when they are talking to a customer service representative. I understand that, yes, it is my job to be helpful and nice to a customer, but when they start friggin cussing me out and taking shit out on me, just because they've had a bad day, i'll give back in return. There's only so nice that I can be, especially after listening to 15 people in a row bitching and screaming in my ear, just because they didn't like the answer I gave them. It doesn't help any that I've been working on quitting smoking, and I've only had one cigarette since before I came to work, but that's another story all together.

Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy the holidays just as much as most people. But when someone else is an asshole to me, especially when there's five or six people in a row that are like that to me, it really pisses me off and puts me in a bad mood. I try not to take it out on the customers, but every once in a while, when one gets goin' on me real hard, i'll give it back, not as strongly of course, but i can turn very rude with the customer. Like I remember being tought when I was young, "do unto others as you would have done to you". You know, that whole golden rule thing. Whatever happened to that, eh? Was that just thrown out with the baby boomers in the 80's? And since they never practiced it, are they're kids now free from understanding how to treat others as well? When did society decide "oh, let's treat whomever we want, however we want, and not give a shit about the consequences!"? It's thinking like that which could create a lot of mass-murderers in this world.

OK, OK, enough with my ranting. I just felt like I had to get that outta my head, or I was gonna kill someone, and I need this job too damn bad, at least right now...~_^

Sup everyone! Just thought while I had some time here at work that I would post a little something here. Like I've said before, those of you who actually visit my site with some regularity, I thank you. And for those of you who are coming here for the first time, I thank you as well.

I've been debating on if I'm going to rework the site using Dreamweaver or not. Anyone who's had any experience with Dreamweaver, or could offer some advice on what html programs you use, leave me a note on the guestbook. I've been playing around a little bit with Dreamweaver, and found that it's a very robust webeditor, but perhaps it might be too much for this meager site. I've also been planning on using it for my webcomic, if i ever get that thing up and running. I've finally got some drawing done for it, and now i've gotta work on the code and make a website that will actually make people come to it, or at least visit it every once in a while. Like I said, i'll make a link to it whenever i get everything done. I hope to have the first comic up by New Year's day, but who know with how everything's been going in my life the past couple weeks.

I don't know how many of you that visit my site have a website of your own, but I would recommend Blogger if you are planning on having some sort of weblog up on your site. It's completely automated, you just type in what you want to say, click the publish button, and it's automatically posted and uploaded onto your site. Definitely much easier then having to update it manually and code all of the html for the weblog. I know, I know, I'm lazy, but hell, if i can cut some coding time off of my website, then hell yeah I'm gonna do it.
