Old News

11 December 2001 6:26pm cst

Well, just a little news post for the front page. I've gotten a weblog from Blogger. I've found it's so much easier to post my weblog to the website using Blogger, then having to handcode all of the html. yes, I know it's lazy, but i don't give a flying fsck. So what if i'm a little lazy, at least i'm doing something on the website, eh?!

So please, go up to the menu up on the left side of the page, pull down the second menu, and go to the blogger page and read it! (gets down on hand and knees) please please please, i'm beggin ya!

btw, Happy holidays to all of you who've visited my site and continue to do so. I wish you all the best this season, no matter where you are from, and what you believe in.

What do you know, I'm making another little newpost update today. That's two in less than two weeks time. I had to format my hard drive at home, so I lost all of the character page work that I had done, so there goes that update for today. I'm gonna try and get those done and updated here in the next couple weeks.

I also finally got word from Keenspace that my little webcomic space on the internet has finally been setup, so I'm working on getting at least some character sketches drawn up for it soon. Maybe i'll even put a sketch or two up here, I'm not sure yet. ~_^

got a new link for ya to check out. it's a site for one of my great friends Moni, or as those of us know her from the green dragon in, Sheyanna. Please visit her site, it's not much yet, but she's just starting fresh, so give it some time.

I know it's a bit early to be pimpin' Christmas stuff, yet I feel that this must be done. ~_^ My wife and I got the new Mannheim Steamroller Christmas cd last Friday. Now I'm not much for pimping out Christmas items, but if you enjoy the holidays, and the music that goes along with this, it will definitely be one that you'll have to add to your collection. I've been lucky enough to see Mannheim Steamroller in concert several times, and it was definitely not to be missed. alright, there's my little spiel for right now. I might be redoing the look of the site for christmas, not sure tho. guess you'll just have to come back and look, now won't ya! ~_^

Well, I know it's been quite a while since I last put any kind of update on this page, and I do apologize to the few of you who do come and look at it every once in a while. There's just been so many things going on irl the past few weeks, that I haven't had the time to update anything around here.

I plan to put up character pages for at least the Tenchi series in the next week or so, it just depends on what kind of time I have at home and at work. I'm also working on starting a webcomic, but I haven't heard back from Keenspace about if they've set up my account with them or not. I'll update here about that as well, if it ever gets done.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holloween, and I hope to see you all at my site again...btw...please sign the guestbook if you visit my site!

Not much to say about anything today, and truthfully I don't know how many people are even reading this, but it does make me feel a little bit better to post something up on this site during this time.

I, truthfully, can't understand why anyone would do this, and I doubt that anyone in America, or around the world, will ever know, except for those who orchestrated the attacks.

From what I heard today, there were more attempts at hijacking US planes, both of them American Airlines planes, in attempts to continue the terrorist attacks of 11 Sept. It just blows my mind that those people who are associated with those people who made the first attacks, knowing all of the security precautions that have been instigated since those first horrific attacks, would even try to attempt anything again.

On a secondary note, there was a prayer service planned for 12:00 noon cdt here in Kansas City, near the City hall, which had to be cancelled due to a bomb threat. There were also bomb threats made against some area schools and other business building/complexes. I can not fathom how anyone, presumably out of jest, could make anything like those kinds of threats. It is childish, immoral, and downright fucking stupid!

If you would like to hear more of how I feel about this, and others that live around my area, feel free to visit kcgeek and read the forum posts that have been made here.

Well, I don't have so much as some news, just a couple websites that I've found or been directed to.

Newgrounds.com collection of flash movies in memory of the events from 11 September, 2001
WTC Memorial Site - Please direct anyone that you know who has friends/relative/collegues who might have been involved in this horrible event in NYC to this site to attempt to find some sort of information if they have exhausted all other information gather techniques.

I don't have much more to add to what I've said, either on this site, or posting on the kcgeek.com forums. Perhaps in a few days, I'll be able to collect my thoughts enough to attempt to formulate what/how I feel about this event.

Well, I had planned to put up a major character page update today, but in light of the major events that have happened in New York City today, I haven't felt much like working on the website today.

As I'm sure that many of the people who have seen my site know, especially those of us in the United States, the World Trade Center was destroyed today, along with part of the Pentagon, in an apparent terrorist attack against the United States. It has yet to be discovered who's master plan it was to bring the attacks against us, but early reports are attributing the attacks to Osama bin Laden.

If you would like to follow the news, much as I did while I was at work today, feel free to visit any of these following links and get as much information as you can:

MSNBC.com
CNN.com
BBC Worldwide
ABCNews.com
CBSNews.com
FoxNews.com

My thoughts and prayers go out to those families who have lost loved ones and friends in this tragedy, and to the workers whose horrific job it is now to clean up the wreckage and search for any survivors in the wreckage. I'm sure that we shall find out more about the attacks in the days and weeks to come. I ask those of you who visit my site often, or even if you are a first time visitor, to spend a moment of introspection and thought about the events that have transpired in the past 14 hours here in the United States.

~Side Note~
If you would like to know more about my thoughts and others that I know about the events that have transpired today, please feel free to visit the KC Geek forums and read here about how we feel about what has happened today

I've actually got some big news today, not that anyone reads this site all that often. I can dream, can't I? Oh well, on to the news!

First off, the special edition dvd of Akira came out today. I've had a copy of it reserved at Suncoast for a month, and later today I get to go pick it up. Woohoo! ^_^ Akira was one of the first anime that I ever saw. I guess you could say it directly led to me creating this website, at least somewhere in the connections.

Second: True, this doesn't mean much to me, but it means a lot to something like 75% of today's female youth. The new *Nsync cd, Celebrity, came out as well today. I hate to say it, but there are actually some *Nsync songs that I do enjoy, but enough about that.

Third, and this is something that directly effects this website. The "Tenchi Muyo! GXP" TV/OVA series and the "Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki" OVA3 first episodes are scheduled to come out Spring, 2002 in Japan by Vap.co.jp
For more information, visit AIC English Site and www.Tenchi-web.com
(The Tenchi-web site is scheduled to launch 10/10/2001, the "Day of Tenchi")
(all information about the new Tenchi series is from AIC's English website)

Oh yeah, one more thing. I'm going to have the Tenchi character pages up in the next couple days. I finally gotten the pictures of the characters so I can "add a little color to the site", as one of my friends put it. so look for the update in the next couple days!

Well, I finally found some of the poetry that I've been looking for to put on the site, so I can do that on sunday. I've also almost completed the character info pages for the Tenchi series, so those will be put up soon as well. If any one can think of a name for my site, feel free to leave it in the guestbook!

Well, my parents are in town this week, so i don't know how much i'll be able to get done on the site...i'm going to try and do some updating while i'm at work, but i don't know if i'll be able to get much done

~Josh

June 25, 2001 6:17pm

Wow! Three updates in one day. Either i'm really bored at work, or i've actually gotten a lot done. well, i guess it's been a little bit of both. This time i just put up a poll on the polls page. Tomorrow, maybe a rant, because i have something that i feel like ranting about! ~_^

News update - well, due to a arguement between Cindy and I, it looks like I might need to have a place to stay for a while...if any of you out there would like to give me a place to stay, leave me a message on the guestbook!

June 25, 2001 1:58pm

Well, I know it's not a major update, but the links pages has been updated to include some of the webcomics I enjoy reading, some anime sites for info about the series I've outlined, and just some general sites that I take a look at when I'm bored at work ~_^...maybe if I get the chance later this week, I'll put up some of my poetry for the world to read

~Josh

June 23, 2001

Well, the first major update of the site has been completed. Take a look around if you get the chance to. I'll be adding more content over the next few weeks, so visit often, you may never know what you will find has changed!

May 30, 2001

I finally got a new tripod site...not that i'm too happy with it, but more will be coming around soon, so take a look around while you get the chance ^_^
